Wrinkles are a natural part of ageing caused by genetics, sun damage and the skin losing its firmness and bounce due to a lack of collagen and elastin production. While some people might embrace and feel confident about these natural lines, others may want to choose to undergo a face lift surgery.

What is a facelift procedure?
Our facelift and Minimally Invasive Face and Cervical Elevation (MIFACE) procedures tightens and removes skin on the face and neck. These procedures tighten the facial skin to remove signs of wrinkles, loose skin and other signs of facial ageing.
Who would be an ideal candidate for a facelift procedure?
If you’re uncertain if you’re the right fit for a facelift procedure, you might fit the criteria if you answer yes to the following:
- Want to improve the skin elasticity and muscle tone in your face?
- Experiencing a loss of skin tone, loose skin or contours around your neck or chin?
- Are you in good health, following an exercise regime and maintaining a balanced diet?
If you’ve answered yes to any of the above, you may benefit from a consultation with our surgeon.
What is included in the cost of a facelift procedure?
If you’re curious about the cost of a facelift procedure, it will vary based on your unique case and be influenced by various factors. These costs include:
- Surgeon’s fees
After your initial consultation, we will discuss indicative pricing with you so you know what to expect. The surgeon’s fees will vary based on their expertise in facial surgery, qualifications, experience and professional recognition. And who better to choose than The Lotus Institute’s internationally acclaimed microsurgeon and reconstructive surgeon, Dr Peter Widdowson? With over 30 years of experience in aesthetic surgery enhancement, Dr Peter Widdowson will be there every step of the way.
- Pre and post-operational care
A surgeon’s fees usually include a facelift’s cost of pre and post-operative care. Before your facelift, your surgeon will consult with you to discuss your medical history, allergies, and surgery goals. Our team will create a tailored treatment plan based on your needs and discuss the steps you should take before and after surgery and for recovery. Our expert staff will enquire about any medications and supplements you consume to ensure no contraindications with any drugs we prescribe. We will also recommend you stop smoking before and after your facelift for up to three months to avoid the increased risk of post-surgery complications.
Our patient care and nursing staff will help you with post-op recovery. You will be advised to avoid exercise for six to eight weeks post-op, avoid heavy lifting for four weeks and avoid consuming alcohol. Your surgeon will discuss this in more detail during your consultation, which will be included in the cost of your facelift.
- Anaesthetist’s fees
An anaesthetist monitors your vital functions during surgery and ensures your comfort before and after the procedure. The Lotus Institute’s highly trained anaesthetist will be there every step to ensure you remain comfortable and pain-free during your medical procedure. The anaesthetist’s fees will increase with the time their services are required.
- Theatre fees
Most hospitals charge hourly, including operating theatre fees and hospital stays. Facelift procedure take a few hours to complete, while certain cases may require an overnight stay which will incur further costs.
